Where should we start?

Volume one introduces Beatrice, her family and the Bus, so it is the natural first stop. Volumes two and three each stand on their own, though the jokes land harder if you have met the cast already. If you would rather have the lot in one go, the all-in-one edition collects volumes one to three in a single book.

Reading them together

  • Short chapters, built for a bedtime a night at a time.
  • Real London landmarks on every page — good for a map on the wall.
  • Plenty of silly voices for grown-ups who like reading aloud.
  • Themes of friendship, stubbornness and being allowed to want odd things.
